Israeli forces detain 22 Palestinians in West Bank raids

RAMALLAH, November 8, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained 22 Palestinians, including a disabled man and several minors, in overnight raids across a number of West Bank districts, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said Tuesday.

Forces detained four Palestinian men from Beit Ummar and Yatta in the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

One of the detainees was identified as former detainee Yousef Za‘aqiq, 26.

Elsewhere in the southern West Bank, forces raided Bethlehem district, detaining three Palestinians, including a 13-year-old and a 55-year-old disabled man.

One of the detainees was identified as former detainee Daoud Sharara.

In the meantime, police detained eight Palestinians after breaking into and ransacking their family homes during multiple raids across Jerusalem district.

Among the detainees were at least three aged 16 to 17.

To the north of Jerusalem, forces detained two Palestinians, including a 17-year-old, during raids across the central West Bank districts of Ramallah and al-Bireh.

Two Palestinians were also detained during separate raids into the northern West Bank districts of Jenin and Tulkarm.

Three Palestinians were detained while they were inside Israel after they were caught without a permit. They reportedly come from the Jenin area town of Qabatiya.
