Municipality bulldozer demolishing a building in Issawiyeh, East Jerusalem,
JERUSALEM, November 8, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem demolished Tuesday two Palestinian-owned buildings in East Jerusalem under the pretext they were built without a permit, according to Palestinian sources.
They said municipality staff accompanied by police demolished one building in Wadi al-Jouz neighborhood in the heart of Jerusalem before they proceeded to demolish a second building in the neighborhood of Issawiyeh owned by Ghanem Mustafa and includes shops and apartments.
Israel rarely grants Palestinians permit to build in East Jerusalem forcing many to build on their land without a permit.
