JERUSALEM, November 7, 2016 (WAFA) – Israel’s District Court in Jerusalem sentenced on Monday three Palestinian minors to more than 10 years in prison on charges of attacking Israelis, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said.
Ahmad Manasra, 14, is the youngest of the three and he was sentenced to 12 years in prison plus a fine of around $50,000 that is supposed to go as compensation for Israelis he was accused of injuring in a stabbing attack October of last year at the East Jerusalem settlement of Pisgat Zeev.
Manasra, whose cousin Hassan, 15, was killed in the same attack, was 13 at the time of the attack but the court waited until he turned 14 to sentence him as an adult.
The court also sentenced two minors from Jerusalem to 11 years in prison plus $13,000 fine each.
Munther Abu Shamali, 15, and Muhammad Taha, 16, were accused of attacking Israelis in January.
