HEBRON, November 5, 2016 (WAFA) - Dozens of Palestinians suffocated from tear gas inhalation early Saturday as Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank, said a local activist.
Muhammad Awad said Israeli forces stormed the family home of Khaled Illian, 23, who was shot dead by Israeli forces on October 30 after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into a group of soldiers outside his town, interrogated Illian’s father, Ahmad, and confiscated Palestinians flags and posters.
Troops trampled on a poster for Illian after taking it down from a local mosque triggering clashes with local residents.
Soldiers fired heavy barrage of tear gas canisters at the protesters and residences in the area causing dozens to suffer from gas inhalation.
