RAMALLAH, October 26, 2016 (WAFA) - Construction cost index for residential buildings increased by 0.03 percent in the West Bank during September compared with the previous month, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Wednesday.
The rise was due to the increase in rental of equipment by 0.93 percent and labor wages by 0.08 percent. However, prices of raw materials decreased by 0.09% for the same period.
Construction cost index for non-residential buildings also increased by 0.03 percent in September compared with August, said the PCBS.
Road cost index, water networks cost index and sewage networks cost index also slightly increased in September compared to August figures.
