South African activist turned back at Tel Aviv airport

RAMALLAH, October 24, 2016 (WAFA) – The Israeli airport authority denied entry to a South African citizen because of her human rights activities, according to a letter WAFA received on Monday.

Sarah Robinson said in the letter that she was banned entry because of suspicion she was going to participate in activities in the Palestinian territories.

She said she is a volunteer with the World Council of Churches and that she came to Palestine as a participant in the International Solidary Movement to monitor human rights in Hebron in the south of the West Bank.
