Israeli forces detain two from Hebron, Jerusalem districts

RAMALLAH, October 22, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Saturday detained a Palestinian from the West Bank district of Hebron and another from the area Jerusalem, according to local and security sources.

Israeli soldiers detained a 38-year-old Palestinian after raiding, searching, and wreaking havoc in his home in al-Jildeh area in Hebron.

Forces also detained a Palestinian bus driver from the Jerusalem area village of Beit Iksa at a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village.

Head of Beit Iksa village council Saadeh Khatib said the driver was detained after refusing to let the elderly passengers off the bus for inspection, noting that the elderly are permitted to stay on the bus during inspection.

The driver was held at the checkpoint for three hours before he was taken away.
