Israeli forces open fire at Gaza farmers, fishermen

GAZA, October 22, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces opened fire Saturday at Palestinian farmers and fishermen in the northern Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

They said soldiers stationed at Nahal Oz military outpost east of Shajayyeh neighborhood of Gaza City opened fire at farmers working on their land near the border fence. There were no reports of injuries.

Navy boats also opened fire at fishermen northwest of Gaza City who were fishing in an area about four nautical miles off the coast, said the sources. Damage was caused to two boats but there were no injuries.
