JERUSALEM, October 17, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli police Monday detained 12 Palestinians, including ten students, from the Jerusalem area, according to local sources.
Israeli police detained ten minor students from a secondary orphan school in the old city of Jerusalem. The minors’ ages ranged between 15 and 17.
Police further detained a 37-year-old man from the East Jerusalem town of Silwan as he exited al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem. He was taken to a detention and interrogation center in the city.
In the meantime, a Palestinian youth was detained after being brutally attacked and beaten by Israeli police as he was present near the western entrance of al-Issawiya village, in central Jerusalem.
Earlier today, forces detained five Palestinians during pre-dawn raids across the West Bank, bringing the total number of Palestinians detained on Monday to 17.
