Dozens injured in clashes with Israeli troops in ar-Ram

JERUSALEM, October 12, 2016 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians were on Wednesday by live fire or rubber-coated steel rounds, during clashes with Israeli forces in the town of ar-Ram, north of Jerusalem, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said a large number of Israeli military vehicles broke into the town in the early morning, provoking clashes with schoolboys who responded to the Israeli military incursion by pelting stores towards their vehicles.

The Israeli military used live fire and steel rounds to disperse the angry protesters, causing multiple cases of injures among them. The army also fired teargas canisters towards the stone-throwers, causing multiple suffocation cases.

Today marks the second day of fierce clashes between the Israeli army and schoolboys, provoked by repeated Israeli incursions into the town in the aftermath of a shooting attack which left two Israelis killed in Jerusalem on Monday. The attacker, who was shot dead by Israeli police, hails from ar-Ram town.
