NABLUS, October 11, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday demolished the Nablus family home of a Palestinian Israel claimed was an accomplice in the killing of two Israeli settlers in October 2015.
Residents said Israeli troops raided Nablus and cordoned off the area where the family home of Amjad Ilaiwi, who was detained for being involved in the drive-by shooting near the Nablus area village of Beit Furik.
Israeli troops forced the Ilaiwi family out of their apartment and manually demolished the interior walls of the apartment, which was a part of a six-storey building that consisted of 12 apartments.
The demolition, which likely has caused damage to neighboring apartments, came after the Israeli High Court rejected a petition against the order.
Violent clashes broke out in the area between troops and local youths.
Troops fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated steel bullets, hitting a youth in the shoulder and causing scores other to suffocate.
On December 3, Israeli forces demolished the family home of Ragheb Ilaiwi, who Israel claimed was the mastermind behind the attack.
