JERUSALEM, October 9, 2016 (WAFA) – An unidentified Palestinian was fatally shot on Monday by Israeli forces’ fire, after he carried out a shooting attack against Israelis in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem.
Israeli initial reports said that an unidentified Palestinian, who was driving his car near the national headquarters of the Israel Police, opened fire at a number of Israelis present near the station as well as at Israeli police officers deployed along the street.
Israeli police fatally shot the Palestinian after a chase through the neighborhood.
At least eight Israelis, including two officers and two females, were injured in the attack. The injuries varied between light and serious.
In the aftermath of the shooting attack, Israeli police blocked all main roads leading into the neighborhood.
The identity of the Palestinian attacker remains unknown until the moment.
