RAMALLAH, September 29, 2016 (WAFA) - The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for the month of August decreased by 0.16% compared to July, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday.
PPI for locally consumed products decreased by 0.16% and PPI for exported products increased by 0.19%, it said.
Prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply decreased by 6.79%; and water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities went down by 0.52%.
Meanwhile, prices of agriculture, forestry and fishing goods went up by 2.19%; manufacturing by 0.09% and mining and quarrying by 0.03%, said the PCBS.
