RAMALLAH, September 27, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces arrested Monday night and early Tuesday at least 16 Palestinians during raids in occupied Jerusalem and across the West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Tuesday.
In Jerusalem, Israeli police arrested three former Palestinian detainees, identified as Rami Fakhouri, Ahmad Shawish, and Mohammad Hazina. Police also arrested six other Palestinians from Shufat refugee camp, northeast of the city.
Israeli police said its forces raided the camp, located on the outskirts of the city but surrounded by an 8-meter high concrete wall, where they conducted a large search-and-arrest campaign.
Police said weapons were seized during the raid and six people were arrested.
Meanwhile, Israeli army forces detained four Palestinians in Bethlehem area, two from Hebron and one from Jenin.
