RAMALLAH, September 25, 2016 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential buildings reached 102.20 with a decrease of 0.44% in the West Bank during August 2016 compared to July 2016, said a report issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on Sunday.
It said the CCI has declined due to a decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.79%, while rental of equipments increased by 0.81%. Labor wages remained stable during August 2016 compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, CCI for non-residential buildings reached 102.34 with a decrease of 0.42% in the West Bank during the same period.
It declined due to a decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.71%, while rental of equipments increased by 0.94%. Labor wages remained stable.
As for CCI for skeleton buildings, it reached 99.45 with a decrease of 0.75% in the West Bank during August 2016 compared to the previous month. It decreased due to a decrease in prices of raw materials by 1.22%, while rental of equipments increased by 0.99%. Labor wages remained stable.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 106.45 with a decrease of 1.19% in the West Bank during August 2016 compared with the previous month.
It declined due to a decrease in the prices of raw materials, and operating costs of equipment and maintenance by 1.93%, and by 2.02%, respectively. Meanwhile, rental of equipments increased by 0.15%, whereas labor wages remained stable during the same period.
Meanwhile, the overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 110.01 with a decrease of 0.57% in the West Bank during the same period. In the meantime, Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 102.23 with a decrease of 0.98% during the same period.
As for the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI), it reached 107.35 with a slight decrease of 0.04% in the West Bank during the same period.
