QALQILYA, September 21, 2016 (WAFA) – A Palestinian school girl was on Wednesday shot and critically injured by Israeli soldiers at a military checkpoint east of Qalqilya in the West Bank, according to medical sources.
The Israeli military claimed that the girl, 14 years old, had attempted to stab Israeli soldiers manning the checkpoint before other soldiers opened fire and critically injured her.
This is the first alleged stabbing attack outside the Hebron area, south of the West Bank, were six Palestinians were killed since outbreak of attacks on Friday.
One Jordanian citizen was killed by Israeli gunfire on Friday in alleged attack in East Jerusalem.
