Israeli army closes entrance of Hebron town

HEBRON, September 18, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli army closed Sunday the main entrance of the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the West Bank, according to local sources.

Mohammad Awad, a local activist, told WAFA that Israeli army closed the main entrance of the town, banning the entry and exit of passengers and drivers into and from the town.

The Israeli military said the closure was due to the maintenance of a neighboring military watchtower. It said the closure will continue until Thursday September 22.
