NOUAKCHOTT, September 14, 2016 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Wednesday arrived in the Mauritanian capital as part of a tour that will include both Venezuela and the US.
President of the Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz received Abbas in the airport along with high ranking and senior officials.
The two discussed the latest developments in Palestine as well as related Arab issues of common interest. Abbas laid the foundation stone for Palestine’s first embassy in Mauritania.
Abbas will take part in the 17th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement NAM upon arrival to Venezuela where he will deliver a speech.
He will then fly to New York to take part in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.
