Israeli Forces Detain 13 Palestinians in West Bank Raids

JERUSALEM, April 19, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday overnight detained 13 Palestinians during raids into several West Bank districts, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

Five Palestinians were detained from Jerusalem, five others from Hebron, another from Ramallah, another from Salft, and another from Nablus.

Israeli police detained three Palestinian children from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Shu‘fat. The detainees remained unidentified.

They also detained another Palestinian identified as Hala al-Bitar, an undergraduate university student, from Jerusalem.

They also detained Nabhan Nabhan, 22, during a predawn raid into Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, forces detained five Palestinians during raids across the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

The detainees were identified as Mu‘taz al-Muhtaseb, 22, Abdul-Rahim Awad, Muhammad al-Ja‘bari, and his brother, Yusef, as well as Salma Abu-Sharar, a female undergraduate student.

In Ramallah district, forces detained Nour Darwish, 19, an undergraduate university student, from Deir Abu-Mashal village, northwest of Ramallah city.

Meanwhile, Salah As‘ad, 30, was detained during a predawn raid into Salfit district.

Besides, Sami Saleh was detained from the northern West Bank district of Nablus.

This came as forces detained 11otherPalestinians from the West Bank. This brought the total number of detainees on Tuesday to 24, including three girls and at least two minors.
