HEBRON, April 17, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday detained 14 Palestinians, including four minors, from across the Wet Bank districts and Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
In Hebron, forces detained six Palestinians identified as ‘Itaf al-Atrash, Mo’en Sayyaj, 20, Amjad Salhab, 20, Jebreel Abu Sneeneh, 30, Rashed Awad, 17, and Ra’fat al-Batran, 30.
Meanwhile in the Ramallah villages of Silwad and Beit Ur al-Tahta, Israeli soldiers detained two Palestinian locals identified as Montasir Sliman, 16, and Abdel-Hameed Hamed, 22.
Forces reportedly raided Abdel-Hameed Hamed’s home after detonating its main front door, where they locked all family members in one room and proceeded to search the house.
Hamed’s mother said forces threatened to arrest her young child and physically assaulted her for attempting to check on her son, Hamed, who was placed in a separate room and subjected to interrogation. Hamed is a university student.
Forces also detained local Ahmad al-Shaikh from Bethlehem’s town of Marah Rabah, and Dergham Bsharat, a local from the town of Tamoun to the south of Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank, at Jaba’ military checkpoint to the north of Jerusalem.
In Tulkarem, forces detained local Ez-Iddin Abu Rab’I, 20, afte raiding and searching his family’s home in the small village of Irtah to the south.
Meanwhile, locals Isma’il al-Karaki, Saleh Ishtyeh, 14, and Omar Yasin, 16, were detained in Jerusalem, noting that both Ishtyeh and Yasin were transferred from house-arrest to prison.
PPS said Israeli forces have detained at least 29 Palestinians in the past two days.
