HEBRON, June 9, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces early Tuesday detained
seven Palestinians as they raided several West Bank districts, said security
and municipal sources.
Israeli forces raided the Hebron town of Dura, where they proceeded
to detain three Palestinians after breaking into and ransacking their homes.
The detainees were identified as Muhammad, 55, his son, Adham, 24,
and Sultan al-Namora, 22.
Forces further set up several checkpoints at the northern entrance
of Hebron as well as the entrance of Sa‘ir, a town to the northeast of the
city, where they stopped and examined Palestinian-registered vehicles and
inspected passengers’ identification cards.
Meanwhile in Nablus district, an Israeli force detained three
Palestinian workers as they attempted to cross into Israel to the west of
‘Azzun ‘Atma, a village to the south of Qalqiliya.
The detainees, purportedly detained for working in Israel without
permits, were identified as Mu‘ath Hamad, 28, ‘Ayesh ‘Allan, 52, and Anas
Hussein, 40. They are all residents of ‘Inabous to the south of Nablus.
In the meantime in Tulkarem district, an Israeli force detained Malek
Ja‘ari after breaking and wrecking havoc into his home in ‘Allar town.
In Jenin district, forces raided Qabatiya town and Misilyah
village, located to the south of the city, where they broke into several homes
and occupied their rooftops, transforming them into military outposts.
Meanwhile, infantry troops were deployed near ‘Arraba and military
drills were conducted by forces using live ammunition near the areas of Jalqamos,
Umm at-Tut, Qabatiya, and near the Shuhada junction, spreading panic among
local Palestinians.
Meanwhile in Bethlehem district, large troops raided Taqou‘, a town
to the east of the city, where they launched an extensive raid and search
operation.
During the raid, forces broke into, ransacked and took photos for
many homes. Some of the owners of the ransacked homes were identified as Majed,
Habes and ‘Aref al-‘Amor, whose fourth brother, Riyad, is detained in an
Israeli detention center, as well as Nedal al-Badan and ‘Ali Jibril.
