BRUSSELS, July 22, 2025 (WAFA) - President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said the images from Gaza are unbearable, stressing that, “Civilians cannot be targets. Never.”
“The EU reiterates its call for the free, safe and swift flow of humanitarian aid,” she said in a post on X.
The President of the European Commission said the EU calls for full respect for international and humanitarian law.
“Civilians in Gaza have suffered too much, for too long. It must stop now.”
She said: “Israel must deliver on its pledges.”
