RAMALLAH, June 7, 2014 – (WAFA) – Protests marking the 47th anniversary of Israeli’s occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Golan Heights in 1967, known as Naksa Day, hit the front page headlines in Palestinian dailies.

 

Here are the front page headlines of Palestinian dailies.

 

Al-Quds:

·         Marking the 47th anniversary of the Naksa and occupation of Jerusalem in 1967, an anti-occupation and Judaization protest is organized in Jerusalem concurrently with launching Global March to Jerusalem in several worldwide capitals.

·         Speakers stress the Arab and Islamic nature of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque and voice their support for hunger-striking prisoners.

·         As part of ongoing settlement and judaization, Israel markets plots of lands for building hotels near the High Commissioner headquarters in Jerusalem.

·         President [Mahmoud Abbas] arrives in Egypt to attend the swearing-in ceremony of [new Egypt’s President-elect Abdul Fattah] Al-Sisi.

·         Abbas has been assured by [UN Secretary-General Ban] Ki-moon about supporting [national] consensus government and statehood efforts.

·         Israeli police raid PalMedia studios [in Jerusalem] and interrupted “Good Morning Jerusalem” program.
