GALILEE, March 24, 2026 (WAFA) - A woman was killed Tuesday night in a shooting in the Arab town of Reineh in the 1948 Territories, amid mounting Palestinian anger over Israeli police complicity and their failure to curb the rising wave of crime.

The victim was killed in front of her two daughters while they were at a horse farm.

The toll of victims of crime and violence in the Arab communities inside Israel has risen to 14 since the beginning of March, and to 68 since the start of the year, including 66 victims across 33 cities and villages. Among them are five women; three were killed by police gunfire, and three were minors under the age of 18.

This rise in crime and violence in Arab communities inside Israel comes amid accusations of Israeli police negligence and complicity with organized crime, and their failure to provide security and safety for Arab citizens.
