GAZA, December 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Several displaced people were injured on Monday after a wall collapsed onto one of their tents in Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City, as a result of heavy rainfall accompanying the low-pressure system affecting the Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondents said the wall collapsed due to strong winds and intense rainfall, causing injuries among displaced people living in the tent. The injured were transferred to medical centers to receive treatment.
A house belonging to the Abu al-Qumsan family also collapsed in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City on Monday evening due to heavy rainfall, after the building had previously sustained damage from Israeli occupation attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In the same context, heavy rains flooded a large number of tents housing displaced people in various areas across the Gaza Strip, particularly in low-lying areas, worsening the suffering of thousands of families living under difficult humanitarian conditions amid shortages and the lack of means to protect themselves from harsh weather.
Meanwhile, 10 released detainees arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah on Monday after Israeli occupation forces released them earlier and handed them over to Red Cross teams.
Medical sources said the detainees underwent initial medical examinations, amid difficult health conditions due to their detention in Sde Teiman prison.
