RAMALLAH, December 11, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) said that that the low-pressure system will intensify over the country, bringing a significant drop in temperatures. The weather will be cold, rainy, and stormy, with rain falling across all regions.
The rain will be heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly, brisk with occasional strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h. Sea waves will be high.
During the evening and night, the weather will be cloudy and cold, especially in the mountainous areas. Showers are expected across most of the country, becoming heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly, brisk with occasional strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h. Sea waves will be high.
On Friday, the country will continue to be affected by the low-pressure system during the morning and afternoon hours, with rain falling, heavy at times across all regions and accompanied by thuntstorms. Sea waves will be high.
Saturday's weather will be partly cloudy and cold, especially over the mountainous regions. Temperatures will rise slightly, but the weather will remain cold and partly to mostly cloudy. There is a slight chance of scattered showers in some areas of the country. Winds will be moderate, blowing from the northwest. Sea waves will be high.
While on Sunday, the weather will be partly cloudy and cold, especially over the mountainous regions. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the northeast to southeast. Sea waves will be low.
The PMD warned, during the country’s exposure to the low-pressure system, of the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, slippery roads, reduced horizontal visibility, and high wind speeds.
