RAMALLAH, August 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed on Sunday with his Norwegian counterpart, Jonas Gahr Støre, the latest developments in the Palestinian Territory amid the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Gaza and escalating Israeli occupation and settler attacks in the West Bank. The two leaders also addressed the severely worsening financial crisis caused by Israel's continued withholding of Palestinian tax revenues.
During a phone call, PM Mustafa underscored the urgency of maintaining and intensifying international efforts to stop Israel's genocidal and starvation war targeting the Palestinian people; as well as to stop the Israeli occupation plans to reoccupy the Gaza Strip and pursue annexation in the West Bank.
Mustafa expressed appreciation for Norway’s continued political and economic support for the State of Palestine and its people.
For his part, the Norwegian Prime Minister expressed Norway’s solidarity with the Palestinian people, praising the efforts of the Palestinian government and the resilience it has shown, along with the steadfastness of the Palestinian people under the difficult circumstances they face.
Støre also underscored the importance of the outcomes of the recent United Nations International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution held in NewYork, particularly regarding global recognition of the State of Palestine, ending the war on Gaza, initiating reconstruction, and supporting the Palestinian government’s institutional reform and development efforts.
