RAMALLAH, September 12, 2026 (WAFA) — President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday received the credentials of Ambassador Bassem Abdel Hadi as head of the Representative Office of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the State of Palestine.
Presidential adviser for diplomatic affairs Majdi al-Khaldi, Presidential adviser for international relations Riad al-Maliki, and Presidential Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Daajaneh attended the credentials ceremony.
The Egyptian ambassador reviewed the guard of honor lined up to greet him.
President Abbas welcomed the new Egyptian ambassador and wished him success in his new duties, expressing hope that his tenure would contribute to strengthening fraternal relations and joint cooperation between the State of Palestine and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
