RAMALLAH, September 12, 2026 (WAFA) — President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday received the credentials of Andreas Fiedler as representative of the European Union to the State of Palestine.
Presidential adviser for diplomatic affairs Majdi al-Khaldi, Presidential adviser for international relations Riyad al-Maliki, and Presidential Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Daajaneh attended the credentials ceremony.
Fiedler reviewed the guard of honor lined up to greet him.
The President welcomed the EU representative and wished him success in his new duties, expressing hope that he would continue efforts to strengthen relations and cooperation between the State of Palestine and the European Union.
