RAMALLAH, September 12, 2026 (WAFA) — President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday received the credentials of Sun Zhen as head of the Representative Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine.

Presidential adviser for diplomatic affairs Majdi al-Khaldi, Presidential adviser for international relations Riyad al-Maliki, and Presidential Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Daajneh attended the credentials ceremony.

Sun Zhen reviewed the guard of honor lined up to greet him.

The President welcomed the new Chinese representative and wished him success in his new duties, expressing hope that his tenure would contribute to strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the State of Palestine and the People's Republic of China.
