DAMASCUS, September 11, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces shelled the outskirts of Beit Jinn village in Syria’s southern Rif Dimashq Governorate on Friday and opened fire toward civilian homes in the town of Maariya, in western Daraa province.
According to Syria's official SANA news agency, Israeli forces targeted the area around Bat al-Warda hill near Beit Jinn with several artillery shells.
SANA said the shelling was the second Israeli attack targeting the vicinity of the town on Friday. Earlier, an artillery shell landed in agricultural land west of Beit Jinn, causing no injuries or property damage.
In western Daraa, Israeli forces also opened fire toward civilian homes in Maariya. No injuries or property damage were reported.
