SALFIT, November 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Three Palestinian young men were injured on Sunday after being severely beaten with clubs by Israeli colonists in the Wadi al-Shaer area between Salfit city and the town of al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, in the central West Bank.
Local sources reported that the three sustained deep wounds to their heads, abdomens and lower spinal areas. One of them also suffered a broken jaw as a result of the attack.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 377 olive-harvest-related colonist attacks were documented across the West Bank between September 1 and November 2, 2026, already exceeding the total recorded during any previous olive harvest season.
OCHA also reported that October 2026 witnessed 457 colonist attacks resulting in casualties or property damage, the highest monthly figure since the UN began documenting such incidents in 2006.
Separately, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 674 attacks by Israeli forces and colonists against Palestinian farmers and olive trees between October 1 and November 6, including 129 attacks in the Salfit governorate alone.
