RAMALLAH, September 11, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists opened fire on Palestinians at a farm east of Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, on Friday after residents attempted to repel an attack by the former targeting a poultry farm.

Marzouq Abu Naim, deputy head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, said several colonists attempted to enter the farm east of the village. Local citizens tried to prevent them from doing so, prompting the colonists to open fire at them and triggering confrontations.

Israeli forces subsequently intervened, firing tear gas at the Palestinians while protecting the colonists, Abu Naim said. No injuries were reported.

In a separate incident, two Palestinians from Al-Mughayyir were injured after being attacked by Israeli colonists on the Al-Ma'rajat road linking Ramallah and Jericho.

One of the injured Palestinians, Muhyi al-Din Abu Naim, said he and a colleague were returning from work in Al-Auja, in the Jericho governorate, when they came across a vehicle with a damaged tire. As they attempted to help the driver, colonists who arrived in two vehicles attacked them with sticks and sharp tools.

Muhyi al-Din and his colleague sustained fractures and bruises in the attack and were taken for medical treatment. The colonists also damaged vehicles at the scene.

The incidents come amid continued attacks by Israeli colonists against Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank, including assaults, stone-throwing, shootings and damage to vehicles and agricultural property.
