HEBRON, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian teenager succumbed to critical wounds he sustained earlier this evening by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire near the town of ad-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, according to the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry said it was informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs of the killing of 19-year-old Wadi’ Mohammad Othman Samamrah, who was shot and critically wounded by Israeli soldiers near the town, and whose body remains withheld by the occupation.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces stormed the town with several military vehicles and raided the home of the slain teenager in the al-Baha area.
Earlier, security and local sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers opened fire at Samamrah near the illegal Israeli colony of Shama, following an alleged stabbing attempt. He was detained despite his critical injuries.
The area was later declared a closed military zone as Israeli forces reinforced their presence.
According to WAFA correspondent, Wadi’ is the brother of Sanad, who was shot and killed by colonists in the same area on January 11, 2023. The occupation forces withheld Sanad’s body until April 3, 2023, when his family was finally able to bury him.
Alongside the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces and colonists have intensified their assaults across the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, leading to the killing of over 1,000 Palestinians, injuries to nearly 7,000, and the detention of more than 17,000 since October 7, 2023, according to official data.
