Palestine extends condolences to India over plane crash

RAMALLAH, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) – The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry on Thursday evening extended condolences to India over the victims of the Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad.

The Ministry affirmed in a press release that the State of Palestine stands in solidarity with the friendly Republic of India and extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the Indian government and people, and to the other states whose nationals were also killed in the flight crash.

The plane crash killed over 240 passengers. Air India said that the passenger breakdown was 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian national.

Ahmedabad police commissioner said that there appeared to be no survivors from Flight 171, which was flying from Ahmedabad to London. Police said the bodies of more than 200 victims had been taken to local hospitals.
