Terrorist colonists attack olive harvesters, seize tractor near Nablus

NABLUS, October 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Terrorist colonists attacked olive harvesters today, Monday, in the Bab al-Jami‘ area west of the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus.

Local sources reported that colonists attacked farmers while they were harvesting olives in the area, preventing them from continuing their work. They also seized a tractor belonging to a farmer from the neighboring town of Bazariya.

Since the start of the current olive harvest season, farmers have faced repeated attacks by colonists, including physical assault, abuse, detention, and crop theft—while colonists have seized olive crops from lands that farmers are barred from accessing due to measures imposed by occupation forces.

According to the latest reports from the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, colonists have carried out more than 14,742 attacks in the West Bank (including Jerusalem) since October 7, 2023, resulting in the killing of 66 Palestinians.

The Commission noted that colonists' attacks have affected 147,111 trees, through destruction, uprooting, burning, or poisoning, including 100,485 olive trees.
