GAZA, April 27, 2025 (WAFA) – A number of citizens were killed and others wounded on Sunday evening when the Israeli occupation forces bombed a tent in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent reported that seven citizens were killed and others were wounded after Israeli warplanes bombed a tent sheltering displaced persons in Hamad City, north of Khan Yunis Governorate.
Local health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 2023 has risen to 52,243 fatalities, with an additional 117,639 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
According to the same sources, the death toll since Israel’s resumption of the genocide on March 18 after a two-month truce has also climbed to 1,783, in addition to 4,683 others injured.
Emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to target ambulance and civil defense crews, according to the health authorities.
Israel's genocidal onslaught continues undeterred despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
