Israeli colonists storm Bedouin community northwest of Jericho

JERICHO, 21 April 2025 (WAFA) – A group of extremist colonists stormed the Arab al-Malihat Bedouin community northwest of Jericho on Monday, in yet another act of provocation and intimidation against Palestinian civilians in the Jordan Valley.

Hassan Malihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, said in a press statement that colonists stormed the village in the early morning hours aboard quad bikes, all-terrain vehicles, and four-wheel drives affiliated with the Israeli colonial council in the Jordan Valley.

During the incursion, colonists filmed the homes of local residents, triggering panic and fear among families who already face persistent threats and harassment.

Malihat further stated that the colonists deliberately intimidated students and staff at the Bedouin Ka’abneh School in the community, causing heightened anxiety and disruption to the educational environment.

He condemned the incursion as part of a broader, systematic campaign by the Israeli occupation aimed at forcibly displacing indigenous Palestinian communities to expand illegal colonial outposts in the area.

Malihat urged the international community to urgently intervene to protect Palestinian civilians and to put an end to the ongoing violations.
