RAMALLAH, March 25, 2025 (WAFA) – A report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank during February, 02/2025 showed decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings.
The report said that the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 121.82 with a decrease of 0.22% during February 2025 compared with January 2025 (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.46%, and the prices of raw material decreased by 0.34%. At the same time, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during February 2025 compared with the previous month.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.71 with a decrease of 0.19% during February 2025 compared with January 2025 (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.52%, and the prices of raw material decreased by 0.29%. At the same time, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during February 2025 compared with the previous month.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.32 with a decrease of 0.62% during February 2025 compared with January 2025 (Base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.95%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.46%. At the same time, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during February 2025 compared with the previous month.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 116.24 with a slight increase of 0.03% during February 2025 compared with January 2025 (Base month December 2008=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.39%. While, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.13%. At the same time, the prices of operating costs of equipment and maintenance and the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during February 2025 compared with the previous month.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank* reached 133.55 with an increase of 0.32% during February 2025 compared with January 2025 (Base month January 2010=100).
Water Networks Cost Index reached 139.60 with an increase of 0.81%. While, the Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 120.25 with a decrease of 0.92% during February 2025 compared with January 2025.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* reached 118.73 with a slight increase of 0.03% during February 2025 compared with January 2025 (Base month January 2010=100).
