Palestinian youth killed by Israeli forces in Tulkarm

TULKARM, January 29, 2025 (WAFA) - A Palestinian youth has been shot and killed by Israeli forces on Tuesday evening as they besieged a house in the Artah suburb, south of Tulkarm.

Ayman Fadi Qasim Naji, 23, was killed due to his wounds by the Israeli occupation forces.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its crews received the body of a slain youth who had been injured in Artah suburb and detained by the occupation forces. He was transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.

Local sources told WAFA correspondent that special forces from the occupation army stormed the suburb and surrounded a residential building at its entrance, before being followed by reinforcements from the occupation military vehicles.

The sources added that the occupation vehicles surrounded the building, which includes a number of residential apartments, amid heavy gunfire, which led to the injury of the young man who survived on the spot, but the occupation forces detained him until he died due to his wounds.

They added that the occupation soldiers demanded the owners of one of the houses to come out via loudspeakers. The soldiers hey also demanded that a young man surrender himself.

Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Amin Abu Hamdeh, a resident of Nour Shams camp, while he was in the Artah suburb, according to the sources.

The occupation forces continue the aggression on the city and camp of Tulkarm, amidst a large deployment of infantry patrols in various neighborhoods of the city and camp. They also continue to turn of a number of houses into military barracks and places for its snipers who fire randomly at everything that moves.
