Israeli army forces families in Tulkarm camp to flee from homes

TULKARM, January 28, 2025 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation army forced Palestinian families to evacuate their homes in several neighborhoods in Tulkarm camp on Tuesday afternoon.

WAFA correspondent reported, citing eyewitnesses from inside the camp, that occupation forces deployed large numbers of infantry troops inside the camp's neighborhoods, who raided homes and forced their residents to leave them at gunpoint and not return.

Dozens of elderly, women, children and people with disabilities were seen leaving the camp from its various entrances, carrying a small portion of their needs.

Several associations, centers and mosques in the city, its suburbs and villages, and a number of citizens, said they would be ready to receive the displaced from the camp and those who were stranded.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces chased journalists during their field work covering the Israeli aggression on the city and its camp, and fired sound bombs at them, specifically on the street of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, the entrance to the camp, and near Al-Fareed Cinema in the western neighborhood of the city.

The occupation forces also prevented the Tulkarm Municipality crews from working to restore electricity to the city's neighborhoods and repair the fault in the electricity transformer in the western neighborhood that was targeted by the occupation snipers last night, under the pretext that the area is a closed military zone.

The occupation forces continue the aggression on the city and Tulkarm camp, and have sent more military vehicles to them, and have seized citizens' homes and turned them into military barracks, amidst heavy reconnaissance flights at low altitudes.

The occupation forces also continue the tight siege of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and the Israa Specialized Hospital, and obstruct the work of ambulances and medical crews.
