JENIN, September 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces on Wednesday leveled agricultural land and uprooted olive trees in the town of Deir Abu Da'if, east of Jenin, covering an estimated 250 dunams, after notifying the landowners.

Tareq Ighbariyeh, who oversees the settlement affairs portfolio in Jenin Governorate, told WAFA that Israeli bulldozers began leveling agricultural land and uprooting olive trees in the town as part of ongoing measures targeting Palestinians’ land and property.

He added that the measures are part of Israeli plans aimed at tightening restrictions on residents, preventing them from accessing their land and sources of livelihood, and pressuring them to leave their land and homes.

In the nearby town of Aaba, Ighbariyeh said Israeli forces handed residents in the Ras al-Tawil area demolition notices targeting four horse stables and plastic greenhouses, as well as a demolition notice for an inhabited home where a family of seven lives.

In Silat al-Dhahr, he said an Israeli court rejected an objection to demolition notices issued against 22 homes, which their owners had received about a year ago, and granted them 14 days to file an appeal and renew their objection.

Ighbariyeh noted that these measures are taking place amid continued demolitions, land leveling and land seizures, despite residents submitting objections and legal files containing official documents and supporting paperwork.
