Israeli colonists set fire to home and agricultural room in Masafer Yatta

MASAFER YATTA, September 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists set a Palestinian  home and an agricultural structure on fire and spray-painted racist slogans on the walls of residents' homes in the village of At-Tuwani, located in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

Osama Makhamreh, an anti-settlement activist in the southern Hebron area, told WAFA that heavily armed colonists, guarded by Israeli soldiers and hailed from the illegal Havat Ma'on settlement built on Palestinian land, set fire to the home of Ibrahim Muhammad Abu Aram and an agricultural structure belonging to Khalil Shehda Rab'i in the Shi'b area of ​​At-Tuwani village, Masafer Yatta.

He added that the colonists also spray-painted racist slogans on the walls of homes in the area.

Colonists have recently escalated their attacks on residents in Masafer Yatta; including,  assaults on homes and vehicles, physical attacks on locals, and the installation of mobile homes on Palestinian land.
