Israeli forces shoot and injure two young men in Jenin refugee camp

JENIN, November 20, 2024 (WAFA) - Two Palestinian young men were shot and wounded by Israeli forces’ live gunfire in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), its teams transported the injured youths, aged 18 and 21, to the hospital after being shot by Israeli forces in the chest and hand.

Since the start of their offensive against Jenin City and its refugee camp yesterday, Israeli forces have been obstructing the work of ambulances and Red Crescent teams. In one incident, a Red Crescent crew was detained in the eastern neighborhood and used as human shields to raid a house. Additionally, an ambulance operating in the camp was obstructed, and the mobile phones of its paramedics were confiscated.

The onslaught on Jenin city and its refugee camp has now entered its second day. It has so far resulted in the killing of five Palestinians. The ongoing offensive has also caused numerous injuries, detentions and extensive damage to infrastructure and residents' properties
