Israeli forces demolish home, water well, and livestock pens near Hebron

HEBRON, October 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished the home of resident Mohammed Al-Amour today, Monday, in the Al-Deirat area east of Yatta, south of Hebron. They also demolished a water well, a tent, and sheep pens, as part of their ongoing attacks against local residents and the elements of their steadfastness in the area.

Local sources reported that the demolished home was a concrete structure covering an area of approximately 140 square meters and housed two families. The demolition operation also affected a water well, a tent, and sheep pens, causing direct damage to the residents' property and livelihoods.

This demolition falls within the context of the occupation's policy aimed at restricting residents in targeted areas, forcibly displacing them, and imposing new facts on the ground to facilitate settlement expansion, particularly in areas south of Hebron.

According to a recent report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, occupation authorities have carried out 1,814 demolition operations affecting 5,059 structures and issued 2,133 demolition notices across various West Bank governorates—including occupied Jerusalem—since October 7, 2023.

The Commission asserts that demolition operations and notices are part of a systematic policy targeting the Palestinian presence and the foundations of life—particularly in areas classified as "Area C"—through which the occupation seeks to tighten its control over the land and displace its inhabitants for the benefit of the settlement enterprise.
