RIYADH, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordering Israel to immediately cease its military offensive and any other actions in Rafah Governorate, in accordance with the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

The Kingdom praised the ICJ’s ruling as a positive step towards the moral and legal rights of the Palestinian people.

In a statement, the Saudi foreign ministry emphasized the importance of including all Palestinian territories in international decisions, in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

It renewed its call for the international community to assume its responsibility to stop all forms of aggression committed against the Palestinian people.
