Thousands of Jordanians take part in pro-Palestinian march in Amman

AMMAN, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) - Thousands of Jordanians today participated in a pro-Palestinian march in Jordan’s capital, Amman.

The protesters condemned the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, denouncing the shameful international silence towards what’s happening in Gaza and affirming their utmost rejection of the Israeli occupation’s attempts to displace the Palestinian people and separate the Gaza Strip from the West Bank.

Protesters raised banners emphasizing their absolute rejection of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, including the targeting of children, women and the elderly and Israel’s imposed starvation policy against the population of Gaza.

The march called for the urgent need to open the border crossings with Gaza to allow the entry of essential aid.

They called on the international community to put pressure on the occupation to stop its aggression, the war of genocide and forced displacement, which are contrary to international norms, laws and human rights values.
