RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Health today confirmed the killing of Oussaid Kamal Jabareen, a surgical specialist at Jenin Hospital, by Israeli occupation forces' fire while on his way to work at the hospital.
The Ministry of Health confirmed in a statement that the deliberate killing of Jabareen, 50, by the occupation forces is added to the series of daily Israeli occupation crimes and its ongoing attacks on the Palestinian health sector with all its components in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
It said that Jabareen had been working as a general surgery specialist for 17 years in the Ministry’s hospitals.
The Ministry urgently appealed to the international community and human rights and humanitarian institutions to intervene immediately to protect Palestinian people, medical personnel and hospitals, as stipulated in the Fourth Geneva Convention.
