RAMALLAH, Sunday, May 12, 2024 (AFA) - On the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, the Palestinian cabinet affirmed that there is no statute of limitation for the rights of the Palestinian people, stressing that the occupation’s attempts to displace Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and its attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, will not cause our people to kneel, surrender or leave.
The cabinet affirmed that the Palestinian leadership and people will remain steadfast in the face of the Israeli challenges, as they have over the past decades.
It renewed its call for the Palestinian people in all its institutions and bodies to secure broad participation in events commemorating the 76th anniversary of the mass displacement of Palestinians known as “the Nakba” (the Catastrophe).
Speaking at the start of the cabinet meeting held in Ramallah, Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa briefed the council members on efforts exerted to pressure Israel to release the withheld clearance funds and stop the policy of financial extortion. The Cabinet confirmed that the financial rights of government employees are protected.
The premier stressed his request for various national companies, institutions and service providers to take into account the citizens' financial situation, underlining the importance of working together to ‘enhance the steadfastness of our people’.
