NEW YORK, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 (WAFA) – Dennis Francis, President of the United Nations General Assembly, said that he's deeply concerned over the Israeli invasion of Rafah, a city where over one million displaced Palestinians are sheltering and already in most dire conditions, calling the operation 'inconsiderate.'

Francis took to X to say that 'nothing can justify' the Israeli military invasion in Rafah.

"Deeply concerned about Israel’s imminent incursion targeting the eastern part of Rafah, a city where over 1 million displaced Palestinians are sheltering and already in most dire conditions," he said.

"Let’s be clear - such an inconsiderate operation simply means more humanitarian catastrophe, and nothing can justify it."
